I booked group lessons for my daughter (16) and son (13) with the Boarding School's owner, Peter for Monday, August 24th. We were vacationing at Rehoboth Beach and I wanted to give the kids a chance to check out surf boarding. Hurricane Bill had impacted the area enough to cause such rough surf and strong rip tides that our lesson was moved to Tuesday (we had the option for a full refund). We met at a specified location and were taken by van to a State Park area where surfing is allowed. Our instructor gave the kids safety and basic boarding instruction while still on the beach and then headed into the ocean with our kids for about an hour and a half of surfing (my daughter had had her fill after about an hour and 15 minutes). Our instructor was great with the kids and they had just a great experience. Of note: the waves are NOT huge, but were perfect for beginners. My husband got caught up in all the excitement and wants to give it a try next year (he will be joined for a repeat with my son). I cannot stress enough what a professional environment this was. We had a slight mix up surrounding our first lesson and the cancelation due to Hurricane. The owner of the school himself called to apologize and more than made up for the slight inconvenience we had undergone due to the misunderstanding. I tend to evaluate a good company not only on the quality of the service I receive, but on the way problems are handled should they arise. The boarding school gets an A+ in both areas. We look forward to doing business with them next year.

Pete and his instructors are awesome. My dad and I have been going for years and he is one of the best, most fun instructors I have ever had. He is a great teacher and really knows his stuff. And he doesn't just teach to you and send you off. He gives you tips and ways to better your surfing. Without a doubt, one of the best instructors I have had in anything.

I took a surf class with Nate this week and had such an incredible experience! He was a great and patient teacher and really put in the work to help us all get waves. He celebrated with us when we stood up and was supportive and gave us pointers when we had trouble. My whole group became friends and was able to have a great time in the water because of him. It was my first surf lesson and was such a wonderful experience, all because we had such a great teacher! I felt very safe in the water and confident with him looking out for us. I can't recommend RB surf school and Nate enough, I will be recommending this school to friends (and I will be back!!).

These guys were great. They ran a very organized class for us (we ended up being about 9 surfers) and made everyone feel welcome and involved. The venue (Indian River North Inlet) was crowded but the Saturday of a holiday weekend makes that expected. Very much enjoyed the class.

We booked a family surf lesson for ourselves, our 7 & 9 year old daughters and 15 year old niece during our vacation at Bethany Beach.
I was originally nervous, especially for our 7 year old but Peter and his assistant Kyle quickly put us at ease. We had a quick lesson on shore then headed out into the water. In a very organized fashion they had us paddle up to surf in one at a time, never leaving anyone unattended. I highly recommend rb surf school for any one looking for a fun, family activity or has limited experience surfing and wants to improve. Thank you Peter & Kyle!

Took a surf lesson with a couple of friends and two others from out of town. Peter was right on time at 8am. Went surfing at the North Inlet. Peter was very thorough with his instructions, patient and helpful with all of us beginners. Very professional and generous with our lesson time. Was impressed when Peter told one of the guys he wouldn't rent him out a board for the day because the tide had passed and wouldn't be worth his money. Highly recommended.

Peter and his associate were very professional throughout the entire paddle boarding tour. Before getting on the paddle boards, Peter gave thorough instructions about how to stand up and where we would be traveling through the bay. It was an awesome experience!
